Interesting question...
CDNX is part of TSX, so it can not be shorted directly. For that purpose, one might buy the HXD.to ETF (TSX down) or short the standard X.to.
But it remains such a move would be very risky and tricky as CDNX is the growth arm of the TSX, and I am not sure of its weighing in the main index.
